Welcome to the Lawrence Park Collegiate
School Council website. This site is created and maintained by parents of
Lawrence Park students, under the auspices of the School Council Executive. The
objective is to provide the parents/guardians of Lawrence Park students with a
vehicle for keeping up-to-date with activities taking place at the school and to
provide a forum whereby parents/guardians can get more involved with the school
and its students. There is also a student-maintained site at www.lawrenceparkci.ca.
By using the navigational buttons to the
left, you can easily move through the site. Review previous issues of the
newsletter (produced three times per year) and to get a sense of the many
activities that take place at LP. The "meeting" section contains the dates of
upcoming School Council meetings (held every other month during the school year)
as well as minutes from previous meetings. On the "links" page we have provided
hyperlinks to a few other web pages that we thought might be useful to have a
click away. Check out the link which provides parents with our EYE ON LPCI.This
covers the weekly activities and schedule at the school. Our budget can be found
on the financial page, as well as an outline of the Constitution and funding
guidelines.
Finally, the "issues" section will be
updated regularly with a schedule of events as well as special events of
importance to you, the parents. These might include things like: deadlines for
applying to university or college, special TDSB meetings, concerts and events at
the school, exam timetables and so on. While you can always come to this site to
review those dates, by providing us with your email address, you can also
receive reminder emails at your home or office. Also new this year is our
calendar section with our daily activities which includes University visits.we
have also addeda new "Guidance News: section. This will allow you to see when
Universities and colleges are visiting our school as well as ,How to Research
Universities and other infromation relating to guidance and looking ahead for
the students.
We hope you enjoy this site and find it
useful. Please provide any feedback to the website editor, found in the "contact
us" section.
We hope you and your students have a
healthy, successful 2011/2012 year.
