 To: School Councils

The Caring and Safe Schools Policy (P051) is currently being reviewed.

The revised Caring and Safe Schools Policy (P051) ensures that all students feel that they belong, are heard, accepted, safe, supported and cared for through the creation of positive school climates that reflect themselves, value their voices and foster a culture of mutual respect and healthy relationships; and enhances and maintain working and learning environments that embed principles of equity, anti-oppression, anti-racism, acceptance and inclusion in procedures, practices and programs that support the safety, dignity, health and well-being of all.

We would like to share the draft revised policy with you and seek your input.

You can find the draft policy posted for your review/comment and can provide feedback via the online survey portal at: http://www.tdsb.on.ca/About-Us/Policies-Procedures-Forms/Policy-Consultations

Please share with us your thoughts, questions and recommendations on the draft policy by email to Ted Libera, Centrally Assigned Principal, at ted.libera@tdsb.on.ca on or before the closing date.

Thank you for your time and attention to this request for consultation and for the work you do for our school communities.
